Apply via Dice today!Job Title: Yellow Ribbon Specialist - Required: Common Access Card (CAC), now or previouslyLocation: Chicago, IL (On-site / Local Required)Salary Range: $65,000 – $80,000Required: Must possess (or have previously possessed) a valid Common Access Card (CAC)Position OverviewWidescope Consulting and Contracting Services, LLC is seeking a Yellow Ribbon Specialist to support the coordination and execution of Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program (YRRP) events and services. This role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality, mission-driven experiences that support Service Members, Veterans, and their families through engaging, well-organized events and resource programs.The ideal candidate is early in their career, highly organized, and brings a strong background in event planning, hospitality, or military program support, with the ability to manage logistics, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure seamless event execution.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and execute Yellow Ribbon events, workshops, and outreach initiativesManage end-to-end event logistics including scheduling, venue coordination, vendor management, and on-site executionServe as a point of contact for participants, partners, and internal stakeholdersEnsure all events are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with program objectivesTrack attendance, collect feedback, and support reporting requirementsMaintain compliance with government protocols, access requirements, and operational standardsProvide administrative and coordination support for program activities as neededRequired QualificationsMust possess (or have previously possessed) a valid Common Access Card (CAC) and be eligible for access to government systems and facilitiesProven event planning or coordination experience (military or civilian)Must be located in or near Chicago, ILStrong organizational, communication, and multitasking skillsAbility to manage multiple events and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProfessional demeanor with strong interpersonal skillsPreferred QualificationsBackground in the military, particularly experience related to the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration ProgramOR experience in hospitality, event management, or customer-facing rolesAssociate’s degree, technical certification, or higher (Bachelor’s degree is a plus but not required)Experience working with government programs, military populations, or community outreach initiativesIdeal Candidate ProfileEarly-career professional (typically 2–6 years of experience)Detail-oriented and proactive with a “make it happen” mindsetComfortable working both independently and as part of a teamPassionate about supporting Service Members, Veterans, and their familiesStrong logistical thinker with hospitality-level service standardsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary: $65,000 – $80,000Opportunity to support meaningful, mission-driven workProfessional growth within a federal contracting environment
