Counselor

Company DescriptionMy name is Patricia Johnson (I like to go by Trish). As a Behavioral Health Specialist, I have been helping individuals with disabilities, and in the mental health for over 10 years. Throughout my life, I have faced challenges that many would consider insurmountable. I am a savior of domestic abuse/Coercion control and addiction, a survivor who thrives and has chosen not only to heal but to dedicate her life to helping others do the same. My environment growing up was marked by drug abuse, violence, and instability, yet I made a conscious decision to rise above and help others that have been through the same. Out of seven children, I am the only one who pursued higher education, earning both a bachelor's degree and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a master’s in criminology.I am a proud member of the American Counseling Association and hold multiple certifications and to name a few; Birth to Five and Sib-shop, and I developed an anger management group for children and adolescents. These experiences have deepened my understanding of developmental trauma and family systems, particularly in early childhood. They’ve also fueled my unwavering commitment to being a compassionate advocate for children and families who are often overlooked. My time studying criminal psychology reinforced my belief that healing cannot come solely through systems it requires deeply personal, empathetic care. Watching one of my sons battle Klebsiella Spinal Meningitis, and facing the consequences of traumatic brain damage during early development, taught me firsthand the fragility and resilience of the human spirit. These formative experiences have ignited a passion not just for clinical practice, but for advocacy, prevention, and education.Every client I meet brings a story, and I offer active, listening and support as a bridge to build, trust and report. Healing is possible. Change is achievable. My life is proof, and I intend to extend that promise to every individual who crosses my path, it is a commitment to amplifying my ability to serve, empower, and transform.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in Bullhead City, AZ for a Counselor.
