Position: Hematologist-Oncologist (Locum-to-Perm) Location: Paducah, KY Overview: Bon Secours Mercy Health is actively seeking a dedicated Hematologist-Oncologist to provide exceptional care in our vibrant medical oncology and hematology department. This is a locum-to-permanent opportunity designed for physicians committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care primarily to adult patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions. Manage a balanced workload: approximately 95% outpatient clinic, with 5% hospital consultations and rounds. Focus on both oncology (70%) and hematology (30%) cases, including new consults and ongoing treatment plans. Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system efficiently to document patient encounters and coordinate care. Manage an average patient census of 22 per day, with 2-3 new patient consults daily. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized treatment strategies. Participate in tumor boards, patient education, and quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Medical degree from an accredited institution with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Hematology and Oncology. Valid medical license to practice in Kentucky or eligible for licensure. Proven experience in adult hematology and oncology care. Prior experience with EPIC EMR system is preferred.
