In this role, you will play a key part in shaping and delivering infrastructure modernisation initiatives across BTS and its supported business units, working closely with cross-functional teams to design robust, cloud-centric solutions that support global operations and long-term technology strategy.What You’ll Be DoingDesigning end-to-end technical architecture solutions with a strong focus on cloud (Azure IaaS & PaaS) and infrastructure modernisationLeading the design and migration of legacy environments to cloud-centric models, including Active Directory, M365, and business-critical applicationsCollaborating with business stakeholders, project managers, and IT teams to translate requirements into scalable and secure technical designsEnsuring all solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, governance, and best practice (security, integration, resilience, cost)Producing high-quality architecture documentation, including designs, roadmaps, and supporting materials for governance and deliveryOverseeing implementation to ensure solutions are delivered in line with approved designs and architectural principlesSupporting RFI/RFP processes, including documentation, vendor engagement, and solution evaluationWorking closely with wider BTS architecture and product teams to drive the infrastructure modernisation strategy and continuous improvementWhat You’ll BringProven experience as a Technical Architect, with a strong focus on infrastructure and cloudDeep expertise in Microsoft Azure (IaaS & PaaS), including designing and delivering cloud migration strategiesHands-on experience migrating Active Directory domains, tenants, M365 environments, and enterprise applicationsStrong understanding of infrastructure architecture (compute, networking, storage, virtual and physical environments)Experience working within enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) and governance modelsKnowledge of identity technologies including Azure AD and Office 365Ability to design solutions that balance performance, scalability, security, cost, and maintainabilityExperience working in complex, enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders and third-party vendorsStrong documentation and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiencesRelevant degree or equivalent experience, with architecture-related certifications or training (desirableExposure to wider cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), ITIL environments, and enterprise applications (ERP, Data & Analytics, AI) LocationHybrid, a mix of office and homeworking. This role will be based at our Peterborough offices on the Lynchwood Business Park.
