DevOps Engineer (TS/SCI CI Clearance Required)

North Point Technology is seeking an experienced TS/SCI Cleared Senior DevOps Engineer with strong Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) expertise to support the development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of mission-critical systems. The selected engineer will play a central role in deploying microservices through a DevSecOps pipeline within a Linux-based multi-tenant environment, leveraging AWS cloud services, GitLab CI/CD, and containerized workloads to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient capabilities to the customer.This program requires employees to hold an active TS/SCI clearance and be a U.S. Citizen. Candidates must also be DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant (Security+ or equivalent), or able to obtain certification within 60 days of start.If you have a Full Scope Poly, working this program will keep your Full Scope ACTIVE.Responsibilities:Support the deployment of microservices through a DevSecOps pipeline within a Linux-based multi-tenant environmentDesign, implement, and secure virtual networks within AWS, including VPC architecture and connectivityDiagnose and resolve VPC network connectivity issues across development and production environmentsDevelop, update, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipeline code to enable rapid, reliable delivery of capabilitiesConfigure, troubleshoot, and deploy Docker containers in support of microservice workloadsReview code within Git and extract or create engineering documentation as neededSupport developer deployments and testing activities within the environmentProvide technical guidance to development teams across all capabilities and microservicesCreate and maintain clear, comprehensive DevOps documentationConduct security remediation in response to vulnerability scans and audit findingsPerform other related tasks as assigned to support program successRequired Skills/Experience:Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR a Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experienceActive TS/SCI clearanceDoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent), or ability to attain certification within 60 days of startProactive self-starter with a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skillsExperience developing and managing CI/CD pipelinesHands-on experience with GitLab functionality, error codes, and scriptingExperience using AWS services and technologies (e.g., CloudFormation, S3, ECS, EKS)Experience with AWS Serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, load balancing, autoscaling)Strong understanding of cloud-based architecturesSolid understanding of DevSecOps methodologies and workflowsUnderstanding of custom code development and code review practicesExperience supporting development testingKnowledge of software development and software sustainment practicesExperience working with team collaboration tools such as Jira and ConfluencePreferred Skills/ExperienceDemonstrated experience with GitLab CI/CD in a production settingExperience with AWS Lambda and AWS ECSExperience troubleshooting, configuring, and deploying Docker containers at scaleAWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)Linux certificationsExperience with ArcGIS or other geospatial technologiesNorth Point Technology is THE BEST place to work for curious-minded engineers motivated to support our country’s most crucial missions!
