We are looking for someone who enjoys building systems, supporting teams, thrives in a highly collaborative environment and wants to help shape the future of our hospital.If you are a skilled technician who enjoys problem solving, working with people and animals, teaching and you are someone that focuses on progress and not perfection, we’d love to talk to you!Position OverviewJoin our team as a Veterinary Technician Supervisor who performs the duties of medical technical staff (e.g., technicians and assistants) as well as scheduling and supervising the staff of the assigned department. Expedites the care and efficiency of the department. In charge of patient care standards for the department. Must lead the team by example, demonstrating organizational skills, following company policies, and maintaining a professional attitude.AnimERge in Raritan, New Jersey, is a leading emergency and specialty hospital known for its innovative approach to veterinary medicine, where a dedicated team delivers cutting-edge care in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Supporting patient workflow and patient care qualityMentoring and coaching technicians and assistantsPartnering with hospital leadership to improve operations, communication and cultureHelp develop and implement new processes and training standardsLeading by exampleAssisting with equipment management and maintenanceAssisting with inventory managementDirect ER and ICU patient supportSurgical and anesthesia assistanceQualifications (Required)A minimum of 3 years of Full-Time emergency and critical care experience in fast paced environmentMust have advanced nursing skills such as the ability to monitor and treat critically ill patients, place NG tubes, operate O2 cages and perform basic and advanced drug calculationsMust also be able to provide surgical support such as patient induction, monitoring anesthesia and patient recoveryMinimum of 2-3 years of supervisory or lead role experience managing schedules, workflow, providing team training and overseeing daily team responsibilitiesPreferred Skills (Nice To Have)Credentialed tech preferred but will consider applicants with advanced skill set and experienceRECOVER certified, Fear Free certified, and leadership trainingSchedule5-day workweek. Rotating shifts, including some weekends depending on hospital needs. Occasional overnights may be required. May have some flexibility with overnight shifts but candidate must be able to work rotating mid-shift hours.
