Pay: $29-$42 per hour (Actual pay will be based on experience, skills and internal equity)Location: Springfield, MOThe RoleThe Application Engineer 2 is a senior individual contributor responsible for supporting complex customer applications and projects involving pumps, process equipment, and hygienic systems.This is an inside, office-based role that is highly customer-facing and deeply involved in quotes, orders, and ERP-based workflows. Our employees are our greatest resource, and we invest in their development through training, collaboration, and opportunities to grow.What You’ll DoCustomer & Application SupportServe as a technical application resource for customers via phone and emailInterpret customer process requirements, P&IDs, and specificationsSize, select, and support pumps and related hygienic process equipmentApply engineering judgment to recommend practical, accurate solutionsClearly explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiencesIdentify application risks, assumptions, and gaps and communicate proactivelyQuotes, Orders & ERP AccountabilityPrepare, review, and support complex quotes involving pumps and process systemsBuild and review bills of material (BOMs) for engineered assembliesEnter, verify, or correct technical data within ERP systemsEnsure assumptions and non-standard conditions are documented and communicatedPartner closely with inside sales to resolve application-related issuesProject & Team ContributionSupport larger or more complex customer projectsServe as a technical resource for less experienced engineers or specialistsContribute to process improvements, standards, or training materialsExperience4-8 years of relevant experience application engineering, process engineering, or a similar technical role.
