Divisional Director Of Planned GivingJob Category: Community Relations & DevelopmentFull-TimeHybridSalary: $115,000 USD per yearGolden State DHQ Salvation Army Divisional Headquarters San Francisco, CA 94107, USADescriptionDuties And Responsibilities:Responsible for a portfolio of 100+ existing gift planning donors, 200+ prospects & professional advisors throughout San Francisco, San Mateo Country, Silicon Valley and Monterey CountyMaintain annual stewardship for all bequest and life income donors within your area40% of time traveling to achieve 16 in person visits per month.Deliver 20+ proposals per month that will generate $5M+ in new commitments per year.Communicate and reports into the donor database all significant interactions as required.Keeps detailed records in all appropriate databases and tracking spreadsheets.Ensures excellent customer service is provided to all donorsCommunicates effectively and regularly with Divisional Director of Development on all relevant issues.Conducts tours of Salvation Army Facilities with donors and facilitates face-to-face interaction with Division leadership.Education And Experience:RequiredBachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, finance, or related fieldHave a passion for and fully support the whole mission of The Salvation ArmyStrong ability to close gifts six and seven figure gift plansActive listener (70% listening 30% speaking) with experience in assisting people in making decisionsAttention to detail with effective communication skills making complex ideas simpleAn understanding of bequests, charitable gift annuities, charitable unitrusts, and life estatesProficient in the use of computers and a wide variety of software programsPreferredMinimum five (5) plus years of proven success in charitable gift planning or in related fields of fundraising, financial planning, or technical salesA preference for candidates with an advanced degree or certification such as: Certified Financial Planner ("CFP"), MBA, JD, CPA, CSPG, CAP, or FCEPSkills And Abilities:Ability to work with a diverse donor base and workforceAbility to maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentialityKnowledge of The Salvation Army programs and ministryProficiency and computer literacy in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel, and fundraising databasesCompensation And Benefits:Competitive Salary + Benefits Package, with salary range of $110,000-120,000Collaborative Team-Spirit EnvironmentTraining in advanced Charitable Estate Planning techniquesOption to a hybrid scheduleUse of company carPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
