Senior Project Engineer

Overview In this role you lead project management for commercial builds, focusing on specialty walls/ceilings and clean rooms. You’ll work with Albany-area teams to manage schedules, resources, and QA/QC, ensuring on-time delivery and quality. Travel or relocation will be needed to support project needs. You drive coordination between field supervisors, vendors, and customers to translate plans into successful outcomes. ResponsibilitiesPerform labor control on assigned projects (setup and maintenance)Prepare RFIs and submittalsConduct quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change ordersCreate and manage job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremenCreate and manage punch lists and job closeout documentationSupport QA/QC measures per the QA/QC program Key requirements4-7 years’ experience in construction managementBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline, or comparable work experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)Ability to read and understand specifications and drawingsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to learn new job skills and apply themCustomer service skills and ability to build relationshipsCritical thinking and problem-solvingAbility to multitaskMotivated self-starter with initiativeWorks well under pressure and deadlinesWillingness to travel/relocate for project needsstrong communicationteam collaborationcustomer service orientationMicrosoft ExcelMicrosoft Wordreading specifications and drawings
