General Summary: The Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day needs of the Operations Department and Operational on-goings at Alternative Reality Television.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
· Able to perform and follow through on manual tasks related to the organization, cleaning, upkeep and stocking of conference rooms, kitchens, and supply areas.
· Able to read and implement technical instructions to perform the setup, assembly, and/or teardown of equipment, furniture and cubicle workspaces.
· Picks up and delivers various office supplies and equipment to requesting office staff.
· Accurately listen to, read, and understand English to promptly handle and fulfill written and/or verbal requests, provide onsite assistance to staff, answer telephones, and deliver messages.
· Covers the Receptionist desk as necessary. Duties include answering telephones, directing calls, booking conference rooms, greeting guests, and checking in guests.
· Covers the Service Center desk as necessary. Duties include answering telephones, making copies, mailing items, assembling requested office supplies, and performing any tasks or projects assigned to the Service Center.
· Regular, predictable, and timely attendance to complete daily and/or repetitive tasks (e.g. preparing/replenishing coffee, taking lunch orders).
· Excellent visual spatial coordination to maneuver and drive company vehicles for picking up and dropping off company executives and third-party VIPs at various locations, and for sending or receiving in-person deliveries.
· Makes various daily runs to USPS, grocery store, or any other location as requested by Manager or any other key-staff.
· Able to balance competing demands with flexibility to accommodate last minute changes from multiple sources.
· Must maintain a high-level of confidentiality.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma is required.
· 1-2 years of work experience preferred.
· Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
· Must have working knowledge of Macintosh Operating systems.
· Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record.
Physical Demands:
· Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
· Must be able to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
· Must be able to stand for lengthy periods, walk quickly and climb stairs or ladders.
· Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
· Frequent handling of food, cleaning supplies and liquids.
· Frequent manual work including assembling furniture and loading and unloading objects.
Work Environment:
· This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
· This position requires frequent cross-town travel using both a personal and company vehicle.
· This position works in an ever-changing and varied environment.
Classification: Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
