A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: /n RN - Cardiovascular Surgery /n/n Job Details: /n • Work in 2 OR Surgical Suites specializing in cardiovascular procedures/n• Day shift staffing includes 2 RNs and 2 Techs with 2:1 patient ratios/n• On-call requirements approximately every other day and every other weekend/n• Night shift operates on call basis/n• Must have ACLS, BLS certifications and 2 years current experience in acute CVOR setting/n• Experience with minimally invasive cardiac procedures preferred/n• Work with open heart instrumentation and supplies, TEE equipment, and ultrasound/n• Document using Meditech system/n• Perform typical procedures including CABG, MVR, AVR, Pacemaker, laser lead extractions, thoracic procedures, endovascular procedures, and standby for TVAR and mitral clips/n• May provide lunch relief in vascular, robotics, general, ortho, neuro/spine, urology, podiatry, thoracic surgery and plastic surgery service lines/n• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate health care services for patients before, during and after surgical procedures/n• Ensure sterile procedures are followed, necessary equipment and medications are available, record surgical progress and outcomes/n• Provide quality control and ensure patient safety at all times/n• Scrubs provided by facility /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility features a specialized cardiovascular surgery unit with 2 operating room surgical suites dedicated to cardiac procedures.
