Job Description: As an Apprentice Truck Driver you can expect: Elite paid CDLA truck driver training. 3 to 1 student to instructor ratio provides individualized attention and more time behind the wheel. On-site training with professional instruction. No need for a loan or paying out of pocket: RMI will pay you while you are training. No team driving: The only person who will be with you are the RMI Trainers. They will be in the seat next to you the entire time of your training providing you with the safest training possible. Local/Weekly home time: Our trainers live near our terminal which means your home time will be local and weekly. Apprentice Driver Details: Cover routes in the Midwest with lanes going to Pennsylvania and Maryland. Weekly home-time. Out and back routes that can allow for an occasional home time during the week. $1200 Weekly Guarantee (weekly minimum). Average wages for new drivers in 2023 were $74,733. 24-hour dispatch service. On-site maintenance (trucks and trailers). 3 paid showers per week. Full truck loads with no driver unload New equipment to drive Stable job environment in the food/beverage industry Job Requirements: Skills needed to join: Minimum of 21 years of age. We do work with the Safe Driver Apprenticeship Pilot (SDAP) Program. Must live within 1 hour of our terminal in Mattawan, MI. Meet RMI Driver Qualification Standards. Must be able to meet medical qualifications set by the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association). Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude. Alert, focused and detail-oriented.
