Youth Case Manager

Primary Duties And Essential FunctionsThe Youth Case Manager is responsible for facilitating child and family team meetings for assigned clients. The Youth Case Manager works collaboratively with the Clinical Supervisor/Director to guide the treatment team in implementing the Child and Family Team Process and it’s individualized, strengths based, culturally competent, family-centered approach.Minimum Qualifications And CompetenciesExperience in Community-based mental health programs a plus.At least one year of experience conducting family or group therapy preferred. Perform other duties as assignedBachelor’s degree in a behavioral health related field, or Has a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of full-time behavioral health work experience; or has an associate’s degree and at least two years of full time behavioral health work experience; or Has a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and 18 credit hours of post-high school education in a field related to behavioral health completed no more than four years before the date the individual begins providing behavioral health services and two years of full-time behavioral health work experience; or four years of full time behavioral health work experience.Generalist knowledge in general mental health, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and serious mental illness.Familiarity with application of behavioral principles in youth treatment, understanding of the Arizona Child and Family Team model. Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to be insured under automobile insurance policy.Able to work a flexible schedule as needed per program requirements.Must successfully complete the agency’s orientation and demonstrate competence regarding skills and knowledge per R9-20-204.Have basic typing/computer skills.Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.Have good organization and time management skills.Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance card, CPR and First Aid.Ability to attend required Child and Family Team training within one month of assuming position and participate in ongoing learning requirements.Bilingual language skills in English/Spanish and as appropriate to population served preferred.Must be 21 years of age.
