Construction Relationship ManagerCoal City Office - Coal City, IL 60416OverviewSalary Range $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 Salary Education Level High School Travel Percentage Road WarriorDescriptionThe Construction Relationship Manager works with all of the Construction Managers to help oversee the jurisdictional relationships associated with our construction and activities of all assigned fiber construction projects. The duties of a Construction Relationship Manager will vary; however, this role can expect to be responsible for keeping a pulse on the sensitivity of the jurisdiction (municipality, county, township, state, etc) we are operating within and working with the Construction Managers to ensure all procedures and requests from the jurisdictions are followed. This position also works with the local Construction Manager to ensure the safety and compliance of the site.Reports To: Director of Construction ManagementDepartment: OSP ConstructionJob Status: ExemptResponsibilities:Build and maintain strong partnerships with jurisdictional entities including municipalities, counties, DOT, and other agencies.Work with permitting team to secure permits efficiently while ensuring we adhere to any requirements.Coordinate approvals, ensure regulatory compliance, resolve bureaucratic issues swiftly, and serve as the primary liaison to keep projects on track.Communicate daily with relevant project managers regarding progress on assigned sitesProvide feedback to internal team around concerns with jurisdictions to head off construction delays or shutdownsAttending construction meetingsCommunicate with the public as necessary regarding construction concerns pertaining to their property (i.e. lawn damage)Walk potential construction sites to ensure the feasibility of fiber designs and identify possible challengesTracking project progress in project management tools as appropriate.Ensuring quality standards are metFollowing the project timeline to ensure deadlines are metMonitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness and orderlinessMaintaining records for site personnelLiaising with inspection authorities regarding approvalsQualificationsQualifications5 years of civil construction management or permitting experience preferredProficiency in CAE and CAD applications preferredProficient with taking and uploading digital photographsAbility to lift 40 pounds and to operate heavy equipmentAbility to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications and other documentsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsOutstanding organizational skills
