Process Manager

Solidus Resources is a U.S.-based gold development company backed by Waterton Mining. The Spring Valley Gold Project is located in the prolific Humboldt Range, an area with approximately 60 million ounces of gold endowment within a 50-mile radius. The Spring Valley Project is a large-scale open pit gold heap leach operation, with a >10 year mine life and a production profile in excess of 300,000 oz annually. Using 300-ton class autonomous mining haul trucks and hydraulic shovels, the higher-grade ore will be crushed in a 13 Mst/a three stage crushing facility with a ½" product size that is conveyed and placed on the heap leach pad with stackers, while the low-grade run-of-mine ore will be directly stacked using the mine truck fleet. The conventional heap leach pad is segregated into these two operating areas where it will be irrigated, with leach solutions collected and processed into dore bars through the ADR facility. Site infrastructure to support the operation such as haul roads, waste rock storage facilities, truck shops, water management, warehouses, offices, etc are also included in the project scope.Position OverviewThe Process Manager will lead the design review, commissioning, and operational readiness of the crushing, conveying, heap leach, and ADR gold recovery systems for the Spring Valley Gold Project. This role will initially require travel to Toronto through the end of 2026, working closely with the EPCM engineering team during detailed design and construction planning. Upon completion of project construction, the role will transition to the Project site near Lovelock, Nevada to lead process operations. The ideal candidate brings significant process management experience in open pit heap leach gold operations, with deep technical expertise in three-stage crushing circuits, overland conveying systems, stacking systems, heap leach operations, and ADR plants. This position ensures operational input is embedded into design decisions and leads operational ramp-up post-commissioning.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide operational and field-based input into detailed engineering design for crushing, conveying, heap leach, and ADR systemsReview process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, equipment specifications, and vendor packagesLead design optimization focused on operability, maintainability, reliability, and safetyCollaborate with EPCM engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, civil) to ensure integrated plant designDevelop commissioning plans, start-up procedures, and operating philosophiesSupport capital cost reviews and value engineering initiativesDevelop operating budgets, staffing plans, and training programs for site transitionLead process plant commissioning and ramp-upEstablish metallurgical accounting, recovery optimization programs, and KPI trackingImplement continuous improvement programs to maximize recovery and throughputEnsure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirementsQualificationsBachelor's degree in metallurgical or Process Engineering8+ years of progressive experience in gold heap leach operationsDirect experience with crushing, conveying systems, stacking systems, and ADR plantsDemonstrated ability in transitioning from project phase into operationsStrong understanding of gold recovery chemistry and carbon adsorption systemsAbility to work in both engineering design and site operational environmentsWillingness to relocate to Toronto on a rotational basis through 2026 and transition to the project area near Lovelock, NV thereafterNevada mining experience preferred
