Construction Safety Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Specialist to champion safety initiatives across construction sites and operational environments. Duties Develop and execute robust risk management strategies to identify, assess, and control hazards on construction sites and operational areas. Conduct thorough occupational health assessments to monitor workplace conditions and prevent work-related illnesses or injuries. Ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations, NEC (National Electrical Code), workers' compensation policies, and other relevant safety standards. Lead construction management efforts by integrating safety protocols into project planning, execution, and closeout phases. Utilize construction management software to track safety metrics, incident reports, inspections, and corrective actions efficiently. Perform regular safety audits, site inspections, and hazard assessments to maintain high safety standards across all projects. Provide training sessions on OSHA requirements, construction site safety practices, EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) policies, and emergency procedures. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and workers to foster a culture of compliance management and continuous improvement in safety practices. Investigate accidents or incidents thoroughly to determine root causes and implement corrective measures promptly. Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and compliance documentation for audit purposes. Qualifications Proven experience in construction management with a strong understanding of construction site operations and safety protocols. In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, NEC standards, workers' compensation processes, and compliance management practices. Demonstrated expertise in risk management techniques tailored for construction environments. Strong occupational health background with the ability to assess workplace hazards effectively. Familiarity with EHS principles and construction management software tools used for safety tracking. Excellent communication skills to deliver training sessions and coordinate with diverse teams on-site. Ability to perform detailed site inspections and hazard assessments independently. Construction site experience is essential; previous roles in safety supervision or management are highly valued.
