Director of Operations

Large food manufacturer is seeking a Director of Operations for their South Carolina plant. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical leader who will join our senior management team. You will be responsible for leading the plant's day-to-day operations (managing the company budget, ensuring operational compliance is followed, and addressing administrative issues).ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of a 1000+ employee food manufacturing plantManage and mentor management staffEnsure plant safety and food safety/quality regulations are followedMeasure the effectiveness of all processes (budget, operations, and management, etc.)Determine plants's strategic growth as part of the executive teamCoordinate cross-functional initiatives and projectsQualificationsMinimum BA/BS, prefer MS/MBA15+ years experience in food manufacturing plant management with at least 2 years as a plant manager/directorExperience managing in a very large manufacturing environment, minimum 1000 employeesUSDA experience- meat or frozen foods are the best backgroundsStrategic planning experienceTrack record of success and creating productive culturesContinuous improvement focusBilingual Spanish a plusCompany will provide a relocation package
