Sr. Simulation Software Engineer- Integrated Test

Apera is supporting an aerospace company building all electric aircraft, and we are looking for a Senior Simulation Software Engineer to support integrated test and simulation environments.This role sits at the intersection of software, hardware, and systems. You will be working on high fidelity simulators used for validation, testing, and pilot training in a real time hardware in the loop environment.What you will be doingDevelop and maintain high fidelity simulation models for aircraft systemsIntegrate software and hardware in HIL environmentsBuild and maintain real time simulation frameworksDevelop user interfaces to control simulation environmentsSupport test execution, automation, and validation activitiesManage version control and configuration across lab environmentsCollaborate with internal teams and external suppliersWhat we are looking for6+ years of experience in simulation or software engineeringDegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relatedExperience with HIL platforms (NI, dSPACE, etc.)Strong experience with MATLAB/Simulink and PythonExperience modeling physical systemsKnowledge of communication protocols (CAN, ARINC, Ethernet, etc.)Experience with CI/CD, version control, and issue tracking toolsComfortable working in integrated hardware/software environments
