Restaurant Manager (High-Volume, Full-Service) Navy Pier | Chicago, IL A high-energy, celebrity chef–driven restaurant located on Navy Pier is seeking a Restaurant Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This is a hands-on, floor-driven leadership role for someone who leads from the front, connects with guests, and supports their team in real time. This is not an office-based management position—we’re looking for leaders who are present, visible, and in the action . Position Overview The Restaurant Manager is responsible for daily operations of a high-volume, full-service restaurant with a strong focus on guest experience, team leadership, and execution of service standards . Success in this role requires urgency, adaptability, and a genuine passion for hospitality. Key Responsibilities Lead service from the floor with a guest-first mindset , actively engaging with both regulars and tourists Uphold and execute Steps of Service with consistency and attention to detail Maintain strong visibility on the floor—supporting service staff and jumping in wherever needed Manage high-volume service with confidence, making quick, positive decisions under pressure Create and manage staff schedules aligned with business levels and labor goals Ensure all operational tasks are completed accurately and on time Drive a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance Monitor and support key business metrics including sales goals, labor, and cost controls Set the tone for energy, urgency, and professionalism during every shift What We’re Looking For Minimum 2 years of management experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant Proven ability to lead from the floor in a fast-paced environment Strong understanding of Steps of Service and guest engagement Ability to manage and motivate teams during peak volume Experience with scheduling and basic labor management Working knowledge of sales performance and cost awareness Bartending experience is a plus Highly organized, punctual, and reliable Demonstrates loyalty, work ethic, and a “HUSTLE” mentality Comfortable working long hours, late nights, weekends, and holidays Work Environment High-volume, fast-paced restaurant located in a major tourist destination Seasonal surges with a mix of local regulars and high tourist traffic Team-oriented culture focused on energy, accountability, and support Expect a “push, push, go, go” environment—speed and efficiency are essential The Right Fit This role is ideal for a manager who: Wants to be on the floor, not behind a desk Takes pride in supporting their team and delivering great guest experiences Moves with urgency and thrives under pressure Leads by example and is always ready to step in and make things happen If you’re ready to bring energy, leadership, and hustle to a high-performing team in one of Chicago’s busiest locations, this is the opportunity to do it.
