Gatehouse Attendant

Job Title: Gate House Attendant Department: Property Management Reports to: Vice President of Property Management Revision Date: May 12, 2026 Position SummaryThe Gate House Attendant is responsible for controlling access to the community/property while providing excellent customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors. This role helps maintain the safety, security, and professional appearance of the property by monitoring entry points and enforcing community access procedures. Key ResponsibilitiesGreet residents, guests, vendors, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner Monitor and control access to the property/community Verify visitor authorization and issue guest passes as required Maintain accurate visitor and vendor logs Communicate with residents regarding guest access and deliveries Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or property incidents Respond to resident inquiries and provide general property information Coordinate with property management and security personnel when necessary Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the gatehouse area Follow all community policies, safety procedures, and emergency protocols QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous customer service, front desk, security, or gate attendant experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations Basic computer and phone skills Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays Physical RequirementsAbility to sit and stand for extended periods Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions Ability to lift to 25 pounds occasionally SkillsCustomer service Attention to detail Conflict resolution Communication Time management Reliability and professionalism available different shifts
