Information and Technology Associate - ENTRY LEVEL ONLY

Information and Technology Associate (No Prior Experience Needed) Air-Tec, a leading mechanical engineering firm in Carson, CA, has specialized in commercial HVAC fabrication, installation, design, and service since 1969. With a 60,000 sq ft facility and over 55 years of trusted work across Southern California and Nevada, we're modernizing our technical infrastructure to match our growth—and we're building a small, high-impact IT department to make it happen. We're hiring our second IT team member: an entry-to-mid-level Information and Technology Associate who will work directly with the IT Manager. This is an on-site role in Carson, CA, perfect for a tech-savvy individual who may lack formal professional experience but is highly proficient with computers and eager to learn fast. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day issues for users in Sales, Accounting, Engineering, and field teams (Windows PCs, Microsoft 365, printers, networks, line-of-business apps). Administer user accounts, permissions, email, file shares, and basic cloud/endpoint tools. Help modernize legacy systems, implement better processes, and introduce new tech (including exploring AI tools for efficiency, automation, and problem-solving). Tackle independent projects—from setup and upgrades to researching solutions—with ownership and quick results. Provide clear, confident support and communicate fixes effectively to non-technical staff. What We're Looking For Strong hands-on comfort with computers, Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and basic networking—no deep certifications required. Fast learner who sources information independently, experiments confidently, and picks up new tools/systems quickly. Genuine interest in future tech, especially how AI and modern infrastructure can transform a traditional 56-year-old company. Self-starter who thrives working mostly independently but collaborates well in a small team.
