RTX has an opening for a Facilities Electrical Engineer (Manager, Facilities) hands-on individual contributor role.Exciting Opportunity! Come Grow with RTX!What You Will do: The Manager Electrical Engineer Facilities will be responsible for supporting facilities electrical design, electrical distribution, and construction project management. This position will be responsible for project estimating, load sizing, coordination studies, arch flash studies, development of construction drawings, preparation of bid documents and construction administration for office renovations, laboratory fit-ups and manufacturing equipment installations. Requires supporting a project from design, through the bid cycle, construction project management followed by project closeout.Project estimating, project scheduling, design of building electrical systems.Preparation of diagrams, sketches, construction drawings, cost estimates, bid documents and construction administration.Meeting with internal customers, developing continuous improvement projects, coordination studies and project management.Interface and coordinate projects with internal and external resources such as information technology, safety, security, internal construction trade workers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.·The position will be based out of Andover Massachusetts, as well as supporting a site in Portsmouth Rhode Island with occasional opportunities to consult on projects withing the NE region.Qualifications You Must Have: This role typically requires a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience or other related field or an advanced degree and 5 years experience in a relevant fieldAt least five (5) years of relevant prior experience and knowledge in building electrical engineering to include areas such as the following:High, Medium and Low VoltagePrimary and Secondary PowerMulti-Frequency PowerGrounding SolutionsLoad SizingControl Systems and interlock systemsCoordination StudiesLighting and ControlsLightning Protection.Experience with construction project management including customer scoping meetings, budget monitoring, establishing and updating schedules, contractor coordination, commissioning, and close-out.Experience writing clear technical engineering specifications, reports and operating procedures Experience and working knowledge of SKM short circuit & arc fault analysis and feeder & transformer sizing.Proficiency with AutoCad, REVIT, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project Scheduler.Qualifications We Prefer:Active Professional Engineering license/registration in Electrical Engineering in the state of Massachusetts or be eligible to obtain the registration within 6 months from the date of hire.Excellent communication skills including the ability to interface and present to leadership, internal customers, information technology, security, construction trade workers and subcontractors.Familiarity with building electrical systems and general understanding of building construction and civil works to include Coordinating Electrical designs with other building design disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, structural, civil, IT, and security.Experience in Facilities Engineering, Design and Construction Project ManagementExperience with manufacturing facilities.Experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS) and control systems such as Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider ElectricWhat We Offer Whether you’re just starting out on your career journey or are an experienced professional, we offer a robust total rewards package with compensation; healthcare, wellness, retirement and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs.
