Industrial Maint Technician Lead, 1st Shift

POSITION SUMMARY - Perform or assist a variety of skilled, semi-skilled, and manual tasks in Building Maintenance, Maintenance and Repair and operate power driven equipment. May act as a lead person on maintenance or repair jobs. Typically expected to solve most work problems independently and to make recommendations to supervisory personnel regarding those matters which involve policy decisions, technical questions, and unusual problems. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.WORK ENVIRONMENT - Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipmentProvide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine servicePerform simple machinist duties and responsibilitiesPerform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machinesRead and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and serviceDiagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjustPerform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facilitiesPerform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functionsUse a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing dutiesDetect and report faulty operations, defective material, and any unusual situations to supervisionMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S procedures, rules, and regulationsPerform building maintenance and general cleaningAbility to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to our customersSupport the environmental policy with proactive process implementation, improvement suggestions, reducing waste, and acting on environment performance results and findingsSKILLS & ABILITIESEstablish, maintain, and foster cooperative working relations with othersAbility to utilize a variety of hand tools and equipmentAbility to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, JLG liftsInterpret shop drawings, sketches and work ordersAbility to communicate and follow oral and written directionsAbility to work independently with little directionAbility to prioritize and meet deadlinesPOSITION QUALIFICATIONSEducation: High School Graduate, GED, or HSDE preferred; Completion of a craft apprenticeship preferredExperience: At least one-year of related experience; Experience in a manufacturing setting preferredComputer Skills: Must demonstrate computer literacyCertificates & Licenses: HVAC and/or Electrical certificates or licenses would be an advantage; Must have a valid driver's license; Must pass and maintain written and driving test for forklift certification
