Job Title: Food Service Director Company: Luxor at Mills Pond Rehabilitation & Nursing Center Location: St. James, NY Salary: Up to $80,000 per year Job Type: Full-Time Job SummaryLuxor at Mills Pond Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Food Service Director to lead our dietary department. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food service operations, ensuring high-quality meal preparation, compliance with healthcare regulations, and an exceptional dining experience for our residents. Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and manage daily operations of the food service department Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health regulations Plan, develop, and implement menus that meet nutritional guidelines and resident preferences Supervise, train, and schedule dietary staff Monitor food quality, safety, and sanitation standards Manage department budget, inventory, and purchasing Collaborate with clinical teams to meet residents' dietary needs Maintain accurate records and reports related to food service operations QualificationsBachelor's degree in Food Service Management, Nutrition, or related field (preferred) Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting Strong leadership and team management skills Knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary compliance standards Excellent organizational and communication skills BenefitsCompetitive salary (up to $80,000 annually) Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for professional growth and development Luxor at Mills Pond Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
