divh2Principal Connectivity Product Manager/h2pICE Data Services, a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange, is looking for a Principal Connectivity Product Manager to join the ICE Global Network (IGN) product team based in NYC. The ICE Global Network offers unique content, delivery and execution services through an ultra-secure, highly resilient network. The IGN team manages the Connectivity business including Colocation, Connectivity, Hosting, Content access and Wireless. This role is an opportunity for you to be at the center of the fast-paced IGN business./ppThe Manager will be mainly responsible for our colocation offering in Mahwah (home of the New York Stock Exchange and the National Market System) and our suite of global connectivity options (Ethernet ports, SDN, Cloud, etc.). The Manager will be in charge of the entire life cycle: market analysis, business case, Go-To-Market plan, market/regulation monitoring, best-practices industry, innovation, ad-hoc Sales support./ppThe Manager will work closely with both internal and external teams, including engineering and operations teams (network, data center, PMO), sales, relationship management, legal, compliance and regulatory, as well as clients and strategic partners to ensure technical and commercial success. The role draws on subject matter expertise, business acumen, technical proficiency, and strong communication skills./ppstrongResponsibilities/strong/pulliDevelop a strong understanding of the Mahwah ecosystem including the ICE-owned colocation facility, the community (trading participants, vendors, carriers, service providers), the ICE Global Network offering and the regulatory environment./liliTake ownership and manage the suite of IGN colocation products offered in Mahwah and ensure competitiveness, value-add and compliance. Supervise projects and product launches, report key timelines to management and escalate when needed./liliBuild and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders involved in the management of the Mahwah facility (datacenter teams, network teams, NYSE business, NYSE technical teams, SIAC, legal and regulatory teams). Monitor changes (technical, regulatory, financial) impacting the IGN offering. Manage communication (internal / external), documentation update, and ad-hoc requests to support the business./liliMonitor and build knowledge about third-party colocation facilities across the globe to understand offerings, best practices and trends. Identify opportunities and risks to bring to managements attention./liliDevelop a strong understanding of the IGN connectivity solutions (Ethernet ports, Cloud-based, SDN-based, etc.) and manage the global offering in collaboration with the wider IGN product team. Identify improvements, enhancements, adjustments and gaps, and work with the relevant team on the execution plan./liliIdentify new solutions (or enhancements) and bring them to market/liulliWork with engineering on new technical solutions (high-level design) and associated costs/liliBuild business case with full PL and present to senior management/liliIf approved, lead the go-to-market plan and supervise the launch:/liulliValidate the technical solution with engineering (low-level design)/liliDefine the product and work on commercial strategy and pricing/liliJoin the project steering committees, report back key information to senior business management/liliDeliver collateral documents (internal/external). Train Sales and Pre-Sales teams./liliWork with marketing on PR, social media and campaigns/liliSupervise the launch and work very closely with Sales to analyze feedback and manage adjustments if needed/liliSet KPIs to measure success and performance of new products, and report KPIs to senior management/li/ul/ulliMeet with IGN customers during QBR-type events. Capture, analyze, translate and transmit feedback. Build business cases when opportunity arises. Walk customers through IGN initiatives and roadmap./liliEngage with third parties and partners for existing and new products. Attend industry events. Monitor technologies (change, trend, new development) relevant to the business./liliAct as Subject Matter Expert for connectivity and colocation solutions, contribute to RFPs or ad-hoc opportunities and support the Sales team./liliCollaborate with the wider IGN product team on the third-party CSPs (Content Service Providers) available on the network. Monitor changes (technical, financial, legal), translate those changes into internal projects or activities, oversee IGN readiness and communication (internal and customers)./li/ulpstrongKnowledge and Experience/strong/pulliUniversity degree, preferably in technology, engineering, or business/lili6+ years of experience in a product role or as a technical expert (network and/or datacenter engineer) dealing with financial network services or related sectors. Ideally, the candidate would have worked for a trading venue, a financial market service provider (Extranet, ASP, ISV), or a trading firm (banks, hedge fund, prop shop), and has experience and exposure to the following:/liulliMarket participants, exchanges, and alternative trading systems/liliMarket data and order entry protocols/liliElectronic and algorithmic trading technologies and trading strategies/li/ulliSolid understanding of trading venue infrastructures (edge network, gateways, matching engine, feed handlers) with exposure to market data and order entry protocols./liliStrong knowledge of data center environments (space power, racking and patching, cross-connects, meet-me-rooms)/liliProficient knowledge of telecommunications / networks (lower layers of OSI model with a strong focus on Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols and solutions such as VCC, Layer 3 VPN, multicast distribution, TCP connection, etc.)/liliFamiliar with Americas-based trading venues and/or venue connectivity model (technical solution, costs, redistribution model, etc.)/liliProblem solving and results oriented, with a strong work ethic and an eagerness to take on new assignments and challenges/liliStrong communication skills, attention to details, and able to work effectively in cross-functional teams/liliEffective time management and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a demanding and fast paced environment/liliThis is an ideal opportunity for a technically minded professional ready to broaden their impact into product management and business development./liliA plus if already acquainted with regulation governing colocations facilities and legal documentation (master agreement, policies, terms conditions, order form)/li/ulpstrongNew York Base Salary Range /strong/ppThe expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $120,000 - 195,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchanges incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
