One of our longest standing Analytics and IOT/Industrial IOT consulting clients is a need of a strong MES Ignition Software Engineer to be on site with an Indianapolis client three days a week, and also to help out with other concurrent data and IT consulting projects as needed.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, hybrid role for a MES Ignition Software Engineer based in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing MES (Manufacturing Execution System) solutions using Ignition software. Responsibilities include back-end development, programming, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration. The engineer will also troubleshoot issues, provide system maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Responsibilities include• Design and build Ignition Perspectives UI/UX dashboards and templates.• Migrate existing Ignition Vision solutions to Ignition Perspectives.• Create services in Python and leverage APIs to join multiple data sets, execute flow control logic, and related operations.• Interact with SQL databases, MQTT, OPC, and other data repositories and data engineering pipelines.• Utilize data packages such as NumPy, Pandas, matplotlib, etc.• Ensure IoT solutions adhere to cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.Qualifications· 2+ years of experience with Java, Python or .NET, developing and supporting applications or data flows• Awareness of PLC design, SCADA systems, HMIs, and protocols such as Ethernet, Profibus, Modbus, etc.• Expertise in Back-End Web Development and Programming• Certification/Proficiency in MES platforms, particularly Ignition software• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldClient could do sponsorship.  Role is a Full Time Positiion with benefits and bonus.  Target base comp: 120K-130K.
