Full Stack Engineer

About the RoleWe are looking for a Full Stack Engineer who enjoys building products from the ground up.You will work closely with the Founder/CTO and take ownership across the frontend, backend, database and third-party integrations of Hevis Pro Hire.This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who is comfortable working in a lean startup environment, solving real product problems and taking features from:Idea → Development → Testing → DeploymentYou will play an important role in turning our MVP into a reliable, scalable SaaS product.What You'll BuildYou will work on core Hevis Pro Hire workflows including:Employer job creation and managementCandidate applications and profilesCandidate screening and hiring pipelineInterview scheduling and managementOffer and joining workflowsWhatsApp-based candidate communicationSMS and email notificationsEmployer and candidate dashboardsAuthentication and role-based accessAPIs and backend servicesDatabase architecture and optimizationThird-party service integrationsKey ResponsibilitiesProduct DevelopmentBuild and maintain core product features across frontend, backend and database.Translate product requirements into reliable and maintainable software.Develop employer and candidate workflows across the hiring lifecycle.Build and improve the candidate pipeline from New → Screened → Interview → Offer → Joined.Work closely with the Founder/CTO on product and technical decisions.Frontend EngineeringBuild responsive and user-friendly interfaces using React or similar modern frontend technologies.Convert UI/UX designs into clean, reusable components.Maintain frontend performance, usability and consistency.Collaborate with product/design on improving user workflows.Backend EngineeringDevelop backend services and REST APIs using Node.js or similar technologies.Implement authentication, authorization and role-based access.Build reliable business logic for hiring workflows.Integrate external APIs and services.Troubleshoot and improve backend performance.DatabaseWork with SQL/PostgreSQL databases.Design and maintain database schemas.Write efficient queries.Optimize database performance.Maintain data integrity across product workflows.IntegrationsWork with WhatsApp Business API and communication services.Integrate SMS and email services.Integrate third-party APIs required by the product.Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues.Engineering QualityWrite clean, maintainable and testable code.Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.Debug production issues.Improve application reliability and performance.Contribute to technical documentation where required.Help establish good engineering practices as the team grows.Must-Have SkillsWe are looking for strong engineering fundamentals rather than someone who simply matches a long technology checklist.Required3–5 years of hands-on full-stack development experienceStrong knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScriptExperience with React or a similar modern frontend frameworkStrong experience with Node.jsGood understanding of REST APIsExperience with SQL / PostgreSQL or a similar relational databaseUnderstanding of authentication and authorizationExperience with Git/version controlStrong debugging and problem-solving abilityAbility to work independently and take ownership of
