Senior Tax Specialist- HybridGreater Chicago   A leading insurance company is seeking a Senior Tax Specialist to support corporate tax reporting, compliance, financial reporting, and audit coordination activities across multiple entities. This role offers strong exposure to both tax and accounting operations within a complex financial services and insurance environment.Compensation:$83,000-125,000  Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare quarterly and annual tax provisions and related disclosures for statutory and GAAP reportingReview Federal and state tax returns and analyze return-to-provision adjustmentsReview quarterly tax estimates and coordinate Federal, state, and intercompany tax paymentsMaintain reconciliations related to tax payments and deferred tax activityRespond to Federal and state tax notices in a timely mannerPartner with external tax advisors and auditors to support compliance and audit requestsResearch and document new tax regulations and assess business impactPrepare financial statements and analytics for a captive insurance entityCoordinate annual audit activities, including tracking documentation and leading status meetingsAssist in maintaining organized tax records and supporting documentationQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related fieldCPA or progress toward CPA preferred2–4 years of experience in tax, insurance, accounting, or corporate accountingUnderstanding of statutory and GAAP accounting principles preferredExperience with book-to-tax adjustments and deferred tax accounting preferredStrong Excel skills, including pivot tablesExperience preparing financial statements and performing complex reconciliationsStrong organizational, analytical, and time management skillsClose attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyBasic understanding of insurance operations is a plusFor immediate consideration, please reach out to Kelly Lucey at klucey@daleyaa.com
