Its employees consistently rank Moss as one of the best places to work.POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACTMoss' Mechanical Procurement Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of Moss’s procurement strategy with the goals of ensuring availability of project materials, decreasing material lead times to site, and decreasing material costs. This position reports directly to the Procurement Manager and works closely with other Operations key staff.Essential Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesCROSS-FUNCTIONAL SUPPORTManage internal departments to ensure key contractual milestones are achieved and procurement schedules are met.Manage internal departments to ensure key design deliverable dates are achieved to support procurement deadlines.Report inbound truck schedules to project teamsTrain project teams on packing slip review and data entry requirementsCommunicate material storage requirements to project teamsCoordinate with superintendents on project status and delivery needsSupport project teams in managing commissioning activitiesREPORTING & SYSTEMSTrack steel procurement to ensure timely completion in support of fabrication schedulesTrack material fabrication to ensure correct quantities are produced to meet delivery schedulesTrack fabrication progress to support vessel departure and arrival timelinesManage third-party inspections and track quality control issuesTrack vessel departure dates to ensure alignment with delivery schedulesTrack and report vessel status during ocean transitMonitor and report port congestionMonitor and report vessel discharge and transloading statusOversee delivery schedules, including inbound trucks by quantity and material typeIssue weekly reports including fabrication status, vessel status, truck quantities delivered and quantities shipped.DOCUMENTATION & COMPLIANCECapture and distribute meeting minutes to ensure accountabilityCoordinate with suppliers to ensure proper paperwork is provided with outbound trucksBuild material tracking matrices for onsite receivingTrack and maintain change order logsVENDOR & SUBCONTRACTOR COORDINATIONEstablish and lead weekly supply chain coordination meetings with suppliersManage suppliers to ensure timely release of bills of material to begin fabrication in accordance with the procurement scheduleParticipate in design coordination meetingsCoordinate with suppliers to ensure materials are packaged using industry best practicesCoordinate with suppliers to ensure proper quantities and material types are loaded onto vesselsCoordinate with suppliers to draft outbound delivery plans for breakbulk vesselsCoordinate with suppliers to ensure material deliveries align with construction sequencingCoordinate with suppliers to ensure adequate trucks are booked to meet delivery schedulesManage and facilitate contract related itemsPerform other related duties as assignedTravel is requiredEducation And Work ExperienceCollege Degree or Supply Chain CertificationsMinimum 1-2 years industry experience in Supply ChainExperience in solar industry preferredFluent in MS Office productsProficiency with Procore, Smartsheets, and similar platformsExcellent written and verbal communications skills, including ability to write clear and detailed technical reports, presentations, and emailsMust be comfortable with the technical aspects of the job as well as business and client interactions and negotiationsFamiliar with construction and supply contracts as well as understanding of budgets and financial modelsAble to establish and maintain good relations with clients and suppliersJOB TITLE: MECHANICAL PROCUREMENT COORDINATORJOB LOCATION: FORT LAUDERDALE, FL CLASSIFICATION: FULL TIME – NON– EXEMPT – SALARIEDREPORTS TO: PROCUREMENT MANAGER Moss is an equal opportunity employer.
