Receive mark-up, and disseminate construction documents from the project manager or designer, prepare crews, confirm logistics, and supervise installation work.Hand-off completed projects to the maintenance provider. Complete projects within company budget and to the Steadfast quality standard.Interface with Office Team, Project Managers and crews daily to provide status updates for ongoing projects.Utilize Steadfast's standard operating procedures and management information systems to capture and communicate project information.• Help build an effective production team - developand work with employees to build and support team environment.• Ensure that customers are completely satisfiedthrough effective communication, relationship building, and regular site visits.• Ensure a safe working environment for employees, customers,and the public.Teamwork andEmployee Development• Foster a working relationship with Managers and Foremen that isbased on trust and teamwork• Responsible for instilling and ensuring that Foreman understandand adhere to Steadfast's culture, work standards and employee policy as statedin the Handbook (reference any handbook and standards materials)• Identify personnel and equipment needs and elevate needs to ChiefOperations Officer• Identify personnel training needs• Foster a "Safety First" attitude, safety being paramount to workperformed• Hold self and employees accountable based on performanceguidelines and general rules of conductCustomerService• Instill customer confidence• Interact with crews and managers daily.• Be prepared to coordinate with other contractors onsite• Provide support/ guidance to employees when working on clientprojects• Be able to effectively implement and communicate contractdocuments• Be able to effectively identify and execute Horticultureprinciples and practices related to our industryJob/ QualityStandards• Proactive leadership and oversight of Foreman and work performedby Foreman• Support crew needs regarding work standards, equipment andpersonnel needs and training needs• Work directly with administrative staff regarding contractobligations• Maintain standards and ensure quality• Provide insight to management regarding potential contractualgrowth opportunity, as well as providing insight on any current contract issues• Represent the company as needed in onsite construction meetings• Maintain active knowledge of trends in the Horticulture industrythat affect operations• Ensure safety on the job site• Maintain an organized workspaceQualifications& Experience• Strong communication skills in English (verbal, written, andreading comprehension)• 5+ years of experience in Housing Construction andLandscape/Irrigation Installation• Able to develop and maintain employee and client relationships• Ability to work well and closely with all employees in allpositions• Hands-on approach to task management, employee, and customerinteraction• Ability to be a self-starter, able to work productively withoutdirect supervision or interaction• Strong time management and organizational skills• Computer skills - Text Messaging, internal emails, companymanagement information system (Builder Trend/Oracle)• Responsive to client's needs and requests• Bi-lingual a plus (Spanish)• FCHP and BMP certified a plus• Professional demeanor and appearance• Proven leadership abilities with organized and structured approachto crew supervisionSpecial Position Requirements• SAFETY: Work safely and follow safety rules. Report onunsafe working conditions and behavior. Take responsibility and prudent actionsto prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.Working Conditions• Employee will work out of theMain Office, South Branch Office, vehicle office, or out of a field office atthe construction site, job day and project specific.• Employee may have to travelwhen the construction site is in another area or when they are responsible foractivities at two or more sites.• Employee may also expect towork in stressful situations• Management of constructionprojects outside of daily driving distance may entail temporary residence inanother area• Employee may need to be "oncall" 24 hours a day, to deal with bad weather or emergencies at the site• Employee may be subject tolifting and exposure to extreme weather, fumes, and chemicalsWork and Physical Requirements• Maybe exposed to hazardous chemicals• Occasionallifting up to 40 pounds using proper lifting techniques• Subjectto standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, pushing,and pulling• Workis performed in both an internal and external environment with occasionalexposure to inclement weather and varying temperatures• Musthave reliable transportation to and from job• Musthave valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record
