Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday – Friday | 8am – 4:30pm

Overview
The Recreation Therapist works collaboratively on an interdisciplinary team in developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating therapeutic programming in a manner supportive of participant's overall health, function, and safety.
What you’ll do
Completes assessments and develops person-centered care plans.
Co-develops, plans, implements, and evaluates various person-centered therapeutic activity programming.
Assists with organizing and facilitating community outings and special events for participants.
Supports project initiatives and quality improvement work plans.
Consults with a supervisor about high-risk situations and organizational development issues.
Ensures that therapeutic activity programming aligns with the PACE Model of care.
What it takes
Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Certified Recreational Therapist (CTRS) in the State of Michigan.
Minimum of one year of experience working with the frail elderly, or long-term care population.
Minimum, one year therapy experience working directly with individuals.
