From smoothing sharp edges to applying industrial coatings, youll play a key role in creating flawless finishes.Job SummaryThe Painter/ Grinder Technician is responsible for finishing operations, including painting, grinding, and sanding, to welded and machined assemblies with a focus on quality.Essential Job FunctionsGrinding of welds per drawing, shop orders and welders instructions using various grinding tools to break or smooth sharp edges of finished assembliesOperation of power tools including large electric and air powered grinders and large belt grindersBasic inspection of welded and machined parts & assemblies to ensure quality workmanshipApply primer and/or paint processes as needed per shop orders and specifications including the handling, use, storage, and disposal of volatile, flammable and combustible materials.
