Details Labor & Delivery / Nursery / Postpartum unit in a 167-bed acute care hospital 5 L&D beds with a maternity and newborn patient population Patient ratios: 1:1 for patients on Pitocin, 1:2 otherwise Common diagnoses and treatments involve labor and delivery care EMR: Meditech (experience preferred but not required); Centricity experience also preferred Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Every other weekend rotation required 2 on-call shifts required per 6-week period Float requirements: as needed Requirements Active RN license in Tennessee or a valid Compact RN license Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN (AHA-issued certifications required) Fetal monitoring experience required PALS certification preferred Couplet care experience preferred Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration Must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere Additional Information The unit covers Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and Postpartum care Orientation is held weekly on Mondays The facility is a Level III Trauma Center fully accredited by The Joint Commission All clinical staff working in Tennessee must be cleared through the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude, cooperative nature, and demonstrate initiative Any scrub color is acceptable 13-week contract American Traveler Job ID P-687692.
