Bookkeeper - Nonprofit

We’re looking for an experienced Non Profit Bookkeeper to serve multiple clients in our bookkeeping firm. For this role it is key that you are experienced in non profit bookkeeping and have the ability to jump in with minimal training. You enjoy being part of a team environment that promotes flexibility and great work life balance, while still having a large focus on productivity and meeting deadlines for multiple clients. You are organized, can anticipate the needs of clients and your leader, and have excellent client service skills. This is a part time, employee position, for 20 hours per week, to be worked hybrid in office and from home. Work hours are Monday-Thursday 9-12, with the remainder of the hours being flexible. This position has the ability to grow to full time for the right candidate. Pay is $28-$35/hour, based on experience level, and benefits for full time (32 hours or more per week) are: health insurance, matching retirement contributions, paid time off and paid holidays. Non Profit Bookkeeper Primary Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of nonprofit and for profit clients and maintain strong client relationships Maintain grant tracking for each client’s individual needs Maintain specific non profit programs based on each client's mission Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with clients and team members Continuously update and maintain client financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance Identify and address bookkeeping errors and discrepancies in a timely manner Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices Help create processes and procedures to streamline and continue to work with best practices ever changing compliances Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the team's overall success Assist with filing 1099’s for all of McLean Bookkeeping clients Non Profit Bookkeeper Requirements 3 or more years of bookkeeping/accounting experience 2 or more years of non profit bookkeeping/accounting experience 1 or more years of Quickbooks Online experience 1 or more years Payroll processing experience Experience working with multiple clients simultaneously Tech savvy Love for dog friendly offices (if working in person) Non Profit Bookkeeper Preferred experience 1 year experience with Google Workspace 1 year experience with Asana Experience with Keeper, Dext, Adobe, One Password Company Information McLean Bookkeeping is located in Bend, OR and was founded by Ashley McLean in 2021.
