Electrical & Electronics Technician

Electrical & Electronics Technician *Location:* St. Joseph, MI *Contract Duration: *12+ Months *Schedule:* Standard 40-hour week; typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility on exact hours. *Job Summary* Candidate will support the Cooking System Integration team working in System Labs in St. Joseph, MI. *Responsibilities* * Assemble electronics control boards and cable assemblies. * Solder electronic parts for control boards and cables. * Program/reflash electronic control boards using digital programmers. * Build custom electronics cables/harnesses for development and testing. * Troubleshoot electronic and mechanical failures of control boards and wiring assemblies using multimeters, scopes and probes. * Perform mechanical assembly of electronics parts into appliances/housings, including gluing parts to frames, mounting and attaching parts to metal plates. * Read electronic schematics. * Complete electronics test reports using spreadsheet applications. *Required Skills* * Assembly of electronics and mechanical parts, including programming digital controls. * Electronics troubleshooting, including use of multimeters, scopes and probes. * Electronics soldering. *Experience Requirements* 0 years of experience required, with some electronics experience. Basic electrical technician training is ideal. *Education* High school education required. Lab work in electronics is helpful. *Technical/Computer Skills* * Basic computer skills for accessing project/product documentation repositories. * Ability to use a spreadsheet application to run test plans and report results. * Ability to use a computer for programming/erasing Flash Memory devices using JTAG interfaces. * Ability to find, view and print electronic schematics in PDF format. *Work Schedule* Standard 40-hour work week. Typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility on the exact hours.
