In collaboration with academic partner Colorado State University, ISE delivers the Semester at Sea® (SAS) program, one of the longest operating higher education study abroad programs. Semester at Sea® provides its students a global comparative education through classroom and experiential learning in the field. The Semester at Sea® floating campus, the MV World Odyssey, carries around 550 students plus faculty, staff, and others. The duration of the semester voyage is typically 105 days, including visits to 8-10 countries. ISE conducts two semester voyages annually. The primary responsibilities of the person is to provide general recruiting/administrative support for home office and voyage hiring processes. This position requires a high-level of initiative and ability to work with little supervision. We are seeking a highly organized professional who excels at providing internal and external customer care.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe individual in this position must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:Manages searches for home office and voyage positions (application review, scheduling interviews, collaboration with hiring managers, reference checks; etc.)Conducts orientation and manages onboarding processes for home office employeesPrimary Liaison for voyage Parent Caregiver Co-Op Liaison (hiring, training, inventory of program’s supplies/materials)Maintains and facilitates updates for all home office and voyage job descriptionsProvides general administrative support (answering phone calls, greeting visitors)Additional DutiesMonitors external-facing human resources email accountsProvides back-up for general office management including ordering/stocking supplies, maintenance requests, office equipment, etc.Participates in weekly human resources meetings Maintains and updates personnel filesMaintains and performs monthly audits for I-9 recordsPerforms additional duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications and SkillsBachelor’s degree Two years of professional work experienceEffective and flexible professional communicator; experienced in communicating with internal and external customers at all levelsOutstanding teamwork/collaboration skillsAbility to problem solve using critical thinking skills and independent judgmentExemplary organizational skills (prioritization, documentation, and workflow management)Skillful attention to detail Preferred Qualifications and SkillsTwo or more professional years of work experience in the area of human resourcesTwo or more years of experience in the area of candidate recruitment Experience using a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) such as ADP or WorkdayAdvanced proficiency in Google Workspace Ability and temperament to work with sensitive and confidential informationProficient with technology and eagerness to learn new software systemsWorking ConditionsThis is a part-time (20 hours/week) position.
