Salary: $30 - $45 - Depending on ExperiencePosition SummaryStepping Stones Therapy, Inc., a leading pediatric private practice, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)to work under the direct supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language therapy services to pediatric clients in an outpatient clinic setting. The SLPA supports the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based interventions for children with communication, language, articulation, social-pragmatic, and feeding-related needs, while maintaining compliance with state regulations and clinic policies.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide direct speech and language therapy services to pediatric clients as outlined in the supervising SLPs treatment plansImplement therapy activities targeting: Articulation and phonologyReceptive and expressive languagePragmatic/social communicationFluency and voice (as appropriate)AAC support and carryover activities (when applicable)Prepare therapy materials and organize session activities in advanceCollect objective data during therapy sessions and document progress accuratelyMaintain daily treatment notes and submit documentation in a timely mannerFollow individualized goals, behavior plans, and therapy protocols established by the supervising SLPCollaborate with supervising SLP regarding client progress, challenges, and goal adjustmentsCommunicate professionally with parents/caregivers regarding session activities and carryover strategies (within scope)Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly therapy environmentAdhere to HIPAA, FERPA (when applicable), and clinic confidentiality standardsParticipate in staff meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions as requiredSupervision & Scope of PracticeAll services are provided under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language PathologistThe SLPA does not: Diagnose disordersInterpret assessment resultsDevelop or modify treatment plans independentlyWrite evaluation or progress reportsSupervision will follow state and ASHA guidelines, including direct and indirect supervision requirementsRequired QualificationsAssociates or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and DisordersValid SLPA registration/license (per state requirements)Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Experience working with pediatric populations preferredAbility to pass background check and TB clearance (as required)Preferred QualificationsExperience in a pediatric outpatient or school-based settingFamiliarity with play-based therapy and child-led approachesExperience supporting social skills groups or AAC usersStrong classroom management and behavior support skillsSkills & CompetenciesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to follow detailed treatment plans with consistencyExcellent organization and time-management skillsProfessional, reliable, and team-orientedAbility to engage children in motivating, age-appropriate activitiesComfort working with neurodivergent populationsWork EnvironmentPediatric outpatient clinicDirect work with children ages preschool through adolescenceMay include individual therapy sessions and small group therapyCompensation$30 - $45 (part-time) Based on ExperienceDisclaimerThis job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
