Job description:Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and hands-on Depositing Supervisor to lead production and deposit operations in a fast-paced food processing and manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing daily depositing, blending, filling, and packaging operations while ensuring compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), FDA regulations, and internal safety and quality standards.The ideal candidate will manage a team of 40+ employees and shift leads, coordinate multiple high-priority production activities, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure smooth workflow across manufacturing and packaging operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining product quality, operational efficiency, sanitation standards, and regulatory compliance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership & Operations ManagementSupervise, direct, and support a team of 40+ employees and shift leads in daily production and depositing operationsOversee all operations within assigned production areas, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are metManage multiple high-priority tasks and production schedules in a fast-paced environmentAct as backup support across departments based on operational needs and individual skill setsProduction & Equipment OperationsSet up (assemble and disassemble), operate, adjust, and clean depositing, blending, filling, and packaging equipmentRegulate machine flow, speed, and temperature to maintain consistent production outputMonitor equipment performance and troubleshoot mechanical issues, jams, pileups, and quality deviationsEnsure efficient operation of machinery to minimize waste and downtimeSupport pressing, blending, filling, and packaging processes as neededQuality, Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FDA regulations, and internal food safety standardsMonitor, document, and enforce safety, sanitation, and quality control proceduresOversee cleanliness and sanitation of production and depositing areasMaintain accurate records of production output, rejects, and compliance documentationPackaging & Inventory SupportStock, sort, and replenish packaging materials such as boxes, cartons, labels, ink, glue, and rollsAttach and verify product identification labels including lot numbers, storage locations, and shipping detailsCount, track, and document finished goods and rejected itemsAssist in inventory control of production and packaging suppliesTraining & DevelopmentTrain and onboard new machine operators, packaging specialists, and production staffConduct ongoing training on equipment operation, safety procedures, and sanitation standardsCreate, update, and maintain SOPs, training materials, and operational documentationAdministrative & Technical SkillsMaintain detailed production, sanitation, and compliance logsUtilize basic math skills to verify quantities, measurements, and production dataUse basic software and technology systems for documentation and reportingDemonstrate strong organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detailRequirementsProven experience in food manufacturing or food processing plant environmentsStrong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FDA regulations, and food safety practicesExperience supervising large teams (40+ employees preferred)Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to operate and troubleshoot production equipmentForklift operation experience preferred (certification a plus, not required)Familiarity with blending, depositing, filling, and packaging processesStrong leadership skills with ability to manage teams in a high-pressure environmentExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet production deadlines consistentlyBilingual (English/Spanish) preferredBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceWork Location: In personPay: From $60,000.00 per year
