Overview In this onsite role in Phoenix, you will design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python. You will work with a cross-functional team to deliver scalable web solutions, integrating RESTful APIs and authentication/authorization with IAM providers. You will deploy on cloud platforms, manage data with relational/NoSQL databases, and ensure secure, well-documented code. The position emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and clean, maintainable software that supports business goals. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys end-to-end development, deployment, and cross-stack troubleshooting. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain backend services and APIs in PythonDesign and implement RESTful APIs and integrationsWork with relational and NoSQL databasesAssist deployment on cloud platforms and CI/CD workflowsCollaborate with team on security best practices and IAM integrationWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented codeTroubleshoot across the stack and perform debuggingContribute to monitoring, logging, and operational tasks Key requirementsProficiency in Python with backend/API experienceKnowledge of at least one additional language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Go)Experience with modern web frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI, React, Angular, Vue)Familiarity with RESTful API design and integrationUnderstanding of frontend basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deployment workflowsExposure to Git and PR workflowsFamiliarity with IAM concepts (authentication, authorization, RBAC, OAuth, SSO) and IAM providers (Okta, Auth0, Azure AD)Understanding of web app security best practicesExperience with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plusExposure to Python ML libraries (scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy) for simple data processingFamiliarity with Linux/Unix for deploying/operating apps and basic scriptingStrong problem-solving skillsGood communication and collaboration in a teamAbility to write clean, maintainable codePython backend developmentRESTful API designDjango | Flask | FastAPI | (and JS frameworks)
