Fire Sprinkler Estimator

Description-Job DescriptionThis individual will be responsible for preparing accurate, timely, competitive and complete estimates for fire sprinkler systems in a Monday - Thursday workweek.Duties And Responsibilities-Develop positive working relationships with customers interested in purchasing design, fabrication, and installation of fire sprinkler and alarm systems.Review construction project plans, requirements, drawings, and specifications.Meet with contractors and subcontractors on site to review site conditions and discuss bid scope.Participate in pre-bid, pre-construction, and post project completion meetings.Prepare detailed cost estimates to include design, materials, equipment and labor.Negotiate, review, and execute price and terms of agreements.Secure plans and designs for developing pricing and proposals, acquire subcontract pricing, and comply with codes and permitsEstablish contact with prospects and potential buyers by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads, and utilizing outlined marketing strategiesClose sufficient sales to meet sales plan objectives.Develop and maintain an active sales pipeline.Conduct coordination with other departments to ensure smooth job transition.Other job duties as assigned.Qualifications-Strong analytical, mathematical, and computer skillsStrong understanding of general construction methods and practicesWorking knowledge of construction plans and specificationsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong project management skillsHigh level of self-discipline, motivation, and ability to operate in a team environment.Excellent organizational and time management skillsStrong knowledge of local and national fire and building codesRequirements-High school diploma or GEDFive (5) years’ experience in Fire Suppression IndustryHighly motivated self-starterAbility to coordinate with other departments in the company, with owners and General ContractorsPreferences-NICET certificationCSA certificationKnowledge working in ServiceTradeKnowledge of Microsoft OfficeCompany DescriptionEverything we do at Fireshield is guided by our Vision and Core Values.
