Distribution Operations Manager

SUMMARY The Distribution Operations Manager oversees and coordinates the daily operations of the distribution center and monitors staff productivity. This position will be responsible for establishing and managing the distribution of products from regional hubs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, those listed below: Manage the overall operations of the warehouse / inventory, including receiving, stocking, processing and distributing inventory. Provide regular feedback to employees by monitoring performance. Conduct thorough performance reviews on direct reports as required by LINET. Responsible for preparing and maintaining the expense and capital expenditure budgets for the distribution center. Manage and oversee the Integration of inventory into regional warehouses for proximity shipping to our customers. Receive, inspect and stock all warehouse inventory – will both supervise and perform this function, as needed. Oversee the pulling of inventory from shelves and prepare them for shipment to customer – may include assembly, staging, packaging, etc. Assist staff as needed Ensure that the warehouse is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion. Ensure that all paperwork is properly executed – transfers, BOL’s, inspection reports, cycle counts, inventory reports, delivery receipts, etc. to SOP standards. Assist and oversee the Loading / Unloading delivery trucks Responsible for the direction of the daily tasks of all warehouse personnel (including temp workers) to assure deliveries and orders are properly prepared for shipment or receipt. Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures regarding managing personnel and operational safety practices. Controls inventory by conducting physical counts; reconciling with SAP inventory data. Assists with maintaining the physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing organizational layout; inspecting equipment and tools and overall maintenance of warehouse. Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees daily work requirements. Oversee all warehouse administrative functions daily, including receiving, delivery, tracking, opening sales/service items and inventory cycle counts. Auditing these functions monthly. Oversee the accurate receipt and allocation of all incoming inventory. Communicate all work-related developments with all required departments daily. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Verify all outbound shipments for accuracy before final distribution. Other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position will oversee the daily tasks of the direct reports in the distribution center. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years related warehouse and/or operations experience 3+ years of direct management experience Obtain and maintain forklift certification Strong communication and organizational skills General knowledge of warehouse and inventory practices WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment will be at 10400 Bryton Corporate Center Drive, Suite 100, Huntersville, NC 28078. TRAVEL This position could require minimal travel estimated at less than 20%. Periodic travel to validate inventory at 3rd party warehouses may be required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift, and push hospital beds and parts boxes/components. The employee frequently is required to sit and stand. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
