Position Summary Operates a variety of machine shop equipment such as saws, lathes, drill presses, sand blasters, and a free-standing spot-welder to produce sub-assemblies or completed finished goods. Key ResponsibilitiesMust be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers and use simple math to perform basic calculations.Must be able to read tape measures, calipers and micrometers to perform inspection of parts.Must be able to operate a variety of machines to perform the following tasks turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing, spot welding and sandblasting.Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.Update computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements.Maintains work area and equipment in clean orderly condition, performs preventative maintenance and follows prescribed safety procedures.Ability to work with chemicals, solvents, adhesives, and lubricants.Must have a working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing.
