DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESWelcome guests as they enter and greet them upon arriving at the table.Make all guests feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to personally take care of them.Inform guests of specials and menu changes.Be knowledgeable of meals and substitutions and make recommendations you genuinely feel the guests will enjoy.Answer questions about our food, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services.Take food and beverage orders from guests and enter orders in our point‑of‑sale system as soon as possible.Prepare coffee and tea when the line assistant is not present.Prepare toast when the toast assistant is not present.Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner.May receive additional assistance from the line assistant and/or toast assistant when necessary.Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by the service station assignment.Maintain clean service areas.Clean tables, seats, floor, and windows or walls thoroughly after each guest.Monitor and observe guests’ dining experience.Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service.Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.Prepare the final bill, present the check, accept payment, process credit‑card charges or make change (if applicable).Be ready and willing to assist co‑workers as situations arise.Pre‑bus tables and assist the bus person with final clearing and cleaning of tables.Assist during busy periods with help from a busser who will be provided.Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the manager or immediate supervisor.QUALIFICATIONSBe able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).Communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests.Possess exceptional grooming habits.Have excellent basic math skills and be able to operate a cash register or POS system.The typical pay range for this role is: Minimum:$2.13 – Maximum:$9.42.Keke's Breakfast Cafe is committed to providing equal employment opportunity for all persons regardless of age, race, creed, color, national origin, citizenship status, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, genetic information, military or veteran's status, criminal background, or any other characteristic protected by Federal, State, or local law.
