Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and other large vehicles to transport freight across various routes. This role requires a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service, with opportunities to work with different types of trailers including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off trucks. Candidates with experience in freight delivery, route driving, and load & unload operations are highly preferred. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks with manual transmission across assigned routes. Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Transport goods using specialized trailers such as refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, or roll-off trucks as required. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery documentation. Follow all traffic laws and company policies during route driving to ensure timely deliveries. Assist with securing loads and verifying cargo before departure and upon arrival. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delivery issues. Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with clean driving record. Experience operating tractor-trailers or commercial trucks in freight delivery or similar roles. Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles preferred. Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is a plus. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently and safely. Knowledge of route planning and delivery schedules. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving. Ability to operate additional equipment such as forklifts is advantageous. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and customer service standards.
