You'll be working and running in lockstep with veteran reporters, producers, an Executive Producer, an Executive Reporter, and a Manager of Content and Coverage.What You'll DoHelp the team seek out and identify stories focused on investigative reporting, community issues, and public/government systemsWork with the team to demand accountability and push for answers on behalf of HoustoniansCollaborate with reporters and photographers to produce audience-focused content for this groundbreaking show and beyond what airs on televisionCreate your own solution-oriented content that starts on digital and continues on the show as we work to get answers for HoustoniansIncorporate a digital-first mindset as you pitch, write, and craft content that starts across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, Reddit, and NextdoorFollow the engagement on digital platforms and use it to elevate content in the 10pm showTrack results and demands for accountability as we sustain an ongoing conversation with the Houstonians who are trusting us to expose what is brokenCollaborate with the Executive Producer to bring the results of this unrelenting quest for answers to air every night at 10pmSkills requiredA creative storytelling vision while maintaining journalistic integrityThe ability to write in a tone that conveys clarity over confusionMulti-platform producing expertise (linear, digital, streaming)Strong organizational skillsThe ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesA work ethic that fosters collaboration with reporters and producersRequirementsDegree in Journalism, Communications, or related fieldMinimum 5 years of television news experienceKnowledge of investigative journalism standards and accountability reportingExperience producing or showcasing investigative or special projects contentExperience with new program launches considered a plusLocation: KPRC 28181 Southwest Freeway, Houston, Texas 77074To Apply.
