Job description:Job SummaryWe are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Process Engineer to support and continuously improve production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance.The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly on the shop floor, collaborating cross-functionally, and driving continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 and other quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Design & OptimizationDevelop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve safety, efficiency, yield, and product qualityAnalyze process flows and production data to identify improvement opportunitiesSupport new product and new process introductions, including process development, validation, and launch supportDrive cost-reduction and productivity initiativesTroubleshooting & Shop Floor SupportProvide real-time troubleshooting support for process, equipment, and quality-related issuesPartner with production teams to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actionsLead problem-solving efforts using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologiesContinuous ImprovementLead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives across multiple manufacturing areasApply Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S, standard work, root cause analysis, and value stream mappingMonitor process performance and implement sustainable improvementsProcess Control & DocumentationCreate, maintain, and improve process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and PFMEAsImplement and support process control methods, SPC, and validation activitiesEnsure processes are standardized, repeatable, and compliant with quality requirementsCollaboration & CommunicationCollaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, R&D, and Production teams to support manufacturing operationsCommunicate process changes clearly to operators, technicians, and leadershipProvide technical guidance and support to production personnelTraining & DevelopmentTrain operators and production staff on new processes, equipment, and standard workSupport ongoing skills development and process adherenceCompliance & SafetyEnsure manufacturing processes comply with ISO 9001, internal quality systems, and safety requirementsPromote and support a strong safety culture within the manufacturing environmentQualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, or related field)ExperienceMinimum of 3 years of process or manufacturing engineering experience in a production environmentExperience with process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiativesSkillsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skillsComfortable working directly on the shop floorProficient with engineering and business tools (AutoCAD, MS Office, ERP systems, SPC tools)Working knowledge of process control, automation, and manufacturing systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred CertificationsSix Sigma Green Belt or Black BeltLean Manufacturing certificationISO 9001 or related quality system experienceKey AttributesProactive, hands-on problem solverStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritiesAdaptable, team-oriented, and improvement-focused mindsetBenefits401(k) with company matchHealth, dental, and vision insuranceFlexible spending accountLife insurancePaid time off and holidaysProfessional development and training opportunitiesCollaborative, supportive work environmentWork Location: In person
