The Plant Accountant prepares financial reports in a manner that ensures accuracy and compliance with company accounting policies. Reporting to the Division Accountant, this entry level position will maintain accounting oversight of the Allentown Division which will include preparation and analysis of reports, cost creation, financial analysis and frequent communication with various corporate departments, plant locations, and senior management./pulliVerify accuracy of department financial statements on a monthly basis/liliPrepare journal entries as needed/liliPrepare margin projections on a weekly basis/liliAnalyze and maintain quoting and production materials/liliPrepare weekly and monthly scheduling that analyzes the performance of various product lines/liliPrepare monthly PL analysis for review by management/liliEstablish, maintain and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures/liliPrepare schedules for corporate distribution/liliOversees monthly, quarterly and yearly inventory procedures throughout the division/liliAd hoc projects as required/li/ulpSkills/ Requirements strongBachelors degree in Accounting/strong/pulliWorking knowledge of GAAP/liliExperience with SAP is a plus/liliAbility to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections/liliProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel/liliExcellent communication skills; both oral and written/li/ulpEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
