Mining Engineer Intern

Role OverviewThis internship supports plant operations within the Aggregates line of business, providing hands-on experience in project work, production goals, and operational understanding at a quarry or aggregate site.Key ResponsibilitiesApply educational knowledge to field-based projects.Assist in achieving production targets by collaborating with engineers, managers, and staff across departments.Complete technical projects to understand quarry and aggregate site operations.Learn the functions of production, maintenance, and quality departments.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies.Qualifications & SkillsCurrently pursuing a degree in Mining Engineering or Geology (junior or senior).Strong work ethic, adaptability, and openness to change.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to motivate teams and manage multiple projects.Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.Work Environment & Physical DemandsCombination of office and field work, with exposure to various weather conditions.Use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform manual labor tasks.Compensation & BenefitsHourly pay of $25.00.Participation in DEI initiatives and employee resource groups.Intern events and engagement activities.
