Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Offering a rewarding opportunity to provide specialized nursing care in a stepdown unit in the Nashville, TN area. This contract role involves working in a 12-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a patient ratio of 4:1, supported by a dedicated tech. The unit utilizes advanced equipment including GE monitors, Nova glucometers, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems, with documentation via Meditech.Responsibilities:Deliver post-catheterization care with expertise in TR band managementPerform advanced pulmonary treatments and medication titrationParticipate in unit rounds and maintain compliance with patient experience protocols such as AIDET, communication board updates, and medication teachingCollaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including in a floating rotation with full-time staff and fellow travelersAdhere to Trauma III hospital certification standards and unit-specific policiesQualifications/Desired Experience:Active RN license with stepdown nursing experienceBLS and ACLS certifications requiredProficient in managing TR bands and advanced pulmonary careStrong problem-solving skills and a positive, team-oriented attitudeComfortable working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detailAbility to work every other weekend as per scheduling requirementsLocation: Nashville/Smyrna, TNThe Smyrna region offers a blend of suburban comfort with convenient access to the cultural amenities and healthcare facilities of the Nashville metropolitan area.
