Application Engineer

We're looking for an Applications Engineer who wants to design, build, and see their work come to life on the shop floor.About the Position:We are looking for a driven Applications Engineer to join our growing team and take the lead on our festoon systems product line. In this role, you won't just be a cog in the machine; you will be the critical link between our sales team and the manufacturing floor. You will take customer specifications, identify potential challenges, and engineer customized, manufacturable solutions that meet rigorous performance requirements. If you are passionate about mechatronics and want to see your designs built right down the hall, this is the opportunity for you.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate directly with sales and customers to review design specifications and translate them into actionable product requirements.Design and prepare detailed component layouts, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.Analyze product performance requirements to ensure your designs are optimized for our existing manufacturing capabilities.Provide hands-on engineering support to the shop floor, assisting with production challenges and commissioning activities.Drive continuous improvement by supporting Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and implementing corrective actions.Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Or an Associate degree in Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, or Engineering Technology, paired with 3 to 5 years of related experience.Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (2018 or newer) to create detailed, accurate manufacturing drawings.A solid understanding of mobile electrification systems for industrial or commercial applications.Excellent communication skills to effectively document technical requirements and collaborate across departments.A high level of comfort using Excel for data management and sizing worksheets.Join us as we expand our operations and bring a new facility online.
